INDUSTRIAL FIRST AID
AIMS
To provide basic knowledge and skill that will enable the successful participants to competently and confidently manage a sick or injured person using Basic First Aid principles.
OBJECTIVES
Following completion of the training, successful participants will be able to:
§ Assess the situation of a casualty and determine the priority of treatment
§ Identify the disease or condition of a casualty and make a diagnosis
§ Demonstrate the ability to apply immediate, appropriate and adequate initial treatment to a casualty
§ Identify the need for and exercising of caution when handling or moving a casualty according to the patients condition and level of injuries sustained
§ Demonstrate the use of recognized resuscitation techniques

Module 2 : Soft Tissue Injuries
Module 3 : Dressing and Bandages
Module 4 : Shock
Module 5 : Musculoskeletal Injuries
Module 6 : Head & Spine Injuries
Module 7 : Burns Injuries
Module 8 : Basic Life Support/CPR
Module 9 : Patient Transport
Module 10 : Basic Patient Assessment
Module 11 : Assessment

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Managers, Safety Officers, Contractors, Supervisors, Foreman, Sectional Heads and other related personnel in the construction industry.
DURATION - Two Days
CERTIFICATION
A certificate of attendant and pass will be awarded upon successful completion and assessment of the course.
